Bio

Beto Rosero is a Film producer and programmer with a degree in Social Communication and Journalism. He creates auteur cinema intending to promote social change. His projects have participated in markets and labs worldwide, such as Torino Film Lab, Miradas Doc, and Marché du Film. He has produced films and tv series, such as Causas Elevadas (2021) and Two-Spirit (2021), selected by +60 film festivals worldwide, including IDFA, Palm Springs, and NFMLA, available on The New Yorker. He was a nominee for the 2022 IDA Documentary Awards and the Macondo Awards of the Colombian Academy. Bandera Roja/Red Flag (2023) was selected by IDFA 2023 and his latest production Alma del Desierto (2024) was selected by Giornate degli Autori (Queer Lion at Venice 2024) He has been curator for FICICA-Cine a la Calle and FICCI- Cartagena International Film Festival.
