Bio
Documentarist, Senior Program Manager of Witness.org and Founder of Bombozila.com. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Victor has spent 15 years working as documentarian and multimedia trainer with independent media and social movements. He joined WITNESS in 2013 when police brutality against media and social movements surged amidst growing protests against the FIFA World Cup 2014 and Olympic Games 2016. He has supported favela-based groups, Indigenous communities, environmental activists, lawyers, and NGOs by providing trainings, convenings, and consultancies to improve media literacy, denounce human rights violations, and fight for accountability. Victor is the founder of Bombozila, an independent streaming platform, dedicated to cataloging and distributing social impact documentaries filmed throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
