Bio
Growing up in a family where storytelling was cherished, I discovered early on the transformative power of stories. My maternal great-grandmother, grandparents, and parents wove together folklore, life lessons, and ancestral wisdom, bringing our heritage alive in ways no history book ever could. My father, a passionate historian and meticulous documentarian, instilled in me the importance of capturing life’s moments not just for today, but for generations to come.
This understanding has shaped my work as a storyteller, impact producer, and documentary filmmaker, committed to preserving and amplifying African narratives. As the founder of the Eastern Nigeria Film and Arts Initiative (ENFAI), I lead a pioneering hub dedicated to equipping youth with essential skills in film, media, and technology. Over the past 16 years, I have blended storytelling with social impact and cultural advocacy, ensuring that stories become tools for change. As an Acumen Fellow and TEDx speaker, my work has been recognised by the California State Legislature Assembly for its contributions to community engagement.
Beyond ENFAI, I co-founded Screen Lab Africa, a platform nurturing creative writers across the continent, and serve on the board of the Ocean-Blue Food Initiative, developing creative strategies for sustainability and food security. My collaborations span media, corporate, and educational sectors, ensuring accurate cultural representation and diversity in every project.
