Tessa is an Impact Editor at investigative outlet Lighthouse Reports. Lighthouse Reports collaborates with media around the globe to deliver deeply reported, public interest investigations. As the impact producer, Tessa works with the investigative team to build a strategy around specific outcomes the team aims to achieve with an investigation and ensure the findings are strategically positioned to create tangible change. Because no singular organisation or investigation can ‘move the needle’ on an issue, much of this work focuses on collaborating closely with civil society actors, policymakers, journalists, affected communities and influential voices to make that happen. Tessa predominantly focuses on issues of power imbalance within the world's food systems, but also works across the migration and borders newsrooms. Before joining Lighthouse, she was a digital campaigner fighting for progressive change on issues such as refugee rights, climate change and fast-fashion factory safety.
