Bio

Tara Eng is a documentary producer and impact strategist. She most recently supported the impact campaigns for the Emmy award-winning film Belly of the Beast and Emmy-nominated film Coded Bias. As a Working Films George F. Stoney Fellow, Tara worked on impact campaigns for energy democracy, just recovery, and immigrant justice across the U.S. south. She also supported the development of Storyshift, a program committed to changing the way stories are told to ensure accountability to and authentic representation of the people and places featured in documentary films. As a filmmaker, much of Tara’s work focuses on environmental justice and the urgency of the climate crisis. Her first documentary short, "On the Fenceline: A Fight for Clean Air" premiered internationally at the 21st Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival and screened at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Tara holds a B.A. in Documentary Studies & Production from Ithaca College, where she was proudly shaped by the Park Scholar program and Park Center for Independent Media.
