Bio
Sini Hormio is a filmmaker and impact producer from Helsinki. She has worked in film and television since 2000 and has focused on documentaries for about a decade. Sini is a DocSoc Impact Lab 2016 graduate, and her impact films include Just Animals and Force of Habit by Tuffi Films, as well as Neurotypes by Mouka Filmi.
She has developed a free tool for documentary filmmakers called The Impact Roadmap, which is currently available in Finnish only. The tool was created as part of her master’s thesis in 2021. From 2022 to 2025, she served as Head of Industry & Impact at the DocPoint Film Festival and is currently completing her studies in the Corporate Responsibility module at the Hanken School of Economics.
