Bio

Havana, Cuba. Graduated in acting from the National School of Arts (ENA). After years of working as an actor in theater and film, he began his film studies at the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISA). These studies helped him to later enter at the International Film School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), specializing in sound. He currently lives and works between Cuba and Spain. He has worked as a sound designer on projects that have premiered at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Amsterdam, IDFA, Seville, among others. As a teacher he has taught sound workshops in Spain, Portugal and Berlin. He teaches sound at the IMAGINA master's degree in documentary filmmaking at the LENS film school in Madrid. His sound works have been part of exhibitions at the Reina Sofia Museum and the Casa Encendida in Madrid.He belongs to the Documentary Film Association DOCMA and he is a founding member of the production company Free Hundred Media.As a director, he has made documentaries with political and social themes within the Cuban environment. He is currently producing and directing his first feature-length documentary framed within the few artistic freedoms in his country.
