Bio

Safa Mushib was born in Baghdad in 1996. She obtained a Master’s in Information Systems from the University of Technology - Baghdad. She worked at Sumerian Dream Production Company as head of the production unit. She participated in many filmmaking workshops, worked as a producer in the TV series “Stories by Jaber,” which depicted stories of the Iraqi army’s heroics, and was a line producer in the TV series “Red Zone.” which received critical acclaim and was classified as the seventh best dramatic work in the Middle East for Ramadan 2021. I worked as executive producer of the feature documentary film “Iraq's Invisible Beauty” by director Sahim Omar Khalifa, which opened the 2023 Docville Documentary Film Festival in Belgium, the Dock House in Britain, and the Red Sea Film Festival, and was shown on the international Arte channel, the German DW, and the Al Jazeera Documentary Channel. The film “Iraq's Invisible Beauty” was also shown at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at New York University. Also, it was nominated in the official competition of the Duhok International Film Festival and the Al Karama Human Rights Festival in Amman Safa is now working on her feature documentary film “Threads of the Earth.”
