Bio

Renisha Mayes – Impact Producer | Cultural Organizer | Storyteller Renisha Mayes is a justice-driven Impact Producer, cultural organizer, and storyteller dedicated to using media and community engagement as tools for transformation. As an Impact Producer at The BIG We, she ensures that storytelling leads to action, amplifying narratives that inspire healing, advocacy, and systemic change. With a deep commitment to justice-centered storytelling, Renisha specializes in developing projects that elevate marginalized voices, connect communities, and drive meaningful impact. Renisha’s journey into impact producing was deeply personal. Growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, she experienced firsthand the need for healing and collective restoration in her community. This led her to embark on her own healing journey through Inward Journey, a transformative experience that reshaped her understanding of storytelling as a tool for personal and communal liberation. This experience ignited her passion for producing work that not only shares powerful narratives but also fosters spaces for collective healing and change. Beyond her professional work, Renisha is a proud mother raising her daughter as a single parent, a role that fuels her passion for creating a more just and abundant world for future generations. Her work is deeply rooted in the belief that every story has the power to heal, mobilize, and create change. She is committed to ensuring that the projects she leads are not just seen and heard, but felt, engaged with, and acted upon.
