Bio

Rebecca Sosa has over a decade of experience in distribution, film festivals, and social impact strategy. She has worked with nonprofits like Sundance and America Ferrera’s Harness, producing social impact programs and events. Before that, Rebecca worked as Film Industry and Festival Liaison at SXSW and Head of Digital Distribution at A24, where she was a founding staff member. Rebecca independently consults through her company, Empowered Stories, advising self-distribution and social impact campaigns. Rebecca is also an associate marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor. As a mental health advocate, she hopes to expand mental health literacy & access and destigmatize it across generations and cultures.
