Bio
I am a Franco-South African producer and documentary editor at MED CINE – a Danish-South African film production house. I focus predominantly on the power of film to communicate visual and symbolic messages that foster emotional connections and inspire change. I hold a degree in Film and Media Production from the University of Cape Town, where I honed my skills in storytelling and production. My dual perspective as both a producer and an editor brings a unique approach to my work. Documentary editing allows me to practise daily how peoples' stories are empowered and included in storytelling with care, focussing on how they bring out emotion in the viewer while fairly representing the speaker. As a producer, my meticulous nature and attention to detail drive my dedication to the research and strategy behind every project, ensuring that the production process is thoughtful, sustainable and purposeful. I’m especially passionate about issues related to the human psyche, our impact on the environment, as well as social issues and the power we hold within them. I believe in the explosive benefit that can come from collaboration and listening to one another, and that the fruit of this labour can generate creative solutions which impact people in a real way which lasts.
