Bio
I'm the Executive Director and Executive Producer of Skylight, a nonprofit human rights media organization dedicated to advancing social justice by creating documentary films and innovative media tools applied in long-term strategies for positive social change. One of these long-term strategies is SolidariLabs, Skylight's innovative model for creating human rights media ecosystems in conjunction with committed filmmakers, artists, technologists and human rights defenders, with the aim of building enduring networks to promote social justice. One of the initiatives to emerge from SolidariLabs is VIVX (Virtual International Volunteers Xchange), an app and online platform designed to connect human rights and environmental defenders around the world with virtual accompaniment by international volunteers. We are collaborating with Peace Brigades International in this effort, drawing from the ranks of thousands of former physical accompaniment volunteers that stood with human rights defenders over the past 25 years.
