Bio

I have run social justice, media based not for profits in the U.S. and the U.K. for 20 years, producing and Executive Producing documentaries that have gone on to win over 40 national and international awards a Peabody ("Newtown") and The Human Rights Award at The Venice International Film Festival ( "The Rape of Recy Taylor"). I took https://www.odyssey-impact.org/ into producing impact campaigns and founded https://www.transformfilmsinc.com/ to work with social justice documentary directors , and worked with DocNYC to create an annual prize of a free Impact campaign, before I left Odyssey to go freelance in September 2022. As a reporter / presenter for the BBC and ITV UK networks in the 1990's , reporting from South Africa, Israel /Palestine, Ukraine, the then Czechoslovakia, South Korea The Troubles in Northern Ireland, I saw first hand the power of film and the power of ordinary people to fight for justice around the world. My decision to focus Odyssey on impact campaigns led to partnering with over 50 organizations across 8 campaigns which took the films to places such as The White House, The House of Parliament, Historical Black Colleges and Fortune 100 companies, resulting in, among other things, the release of two inmates who had each served over 20 years. From building and implementing strategies and partnerships, I bring experience both as a film maker and and impact producer to the table. I am currently working on an impact campaign with partners in Bosnia, USA and UK .
