Bio
I advise documentary projects on numerous facets, including: Impact and engagement strategies, fundraising, rough-cut feedback, and film festival strategy. I also love to plan innovative screening events (online and in-person), and write discussion guides for high school-level classroom use. When forced, I can craft fundraising proposals and grant applications.
Naomi works with teammates Michelle and Miriam as Co-Coordinators of the Global Impact Producers Alliance [GIPA].
Previously, Naomi worked with Doc Society as Outreach Director for Good Pitch several times, in Chicago, New York, and in North Carolina. She spent 9 years in Chicago as Engagement Consultant for ITVS, organizing over 80 documentary film screenings, followed by discussions, workshops, expos and performances. As Education Director for Cinema/Chicago, Naomi arranged screenings for public school students, and managed the groundbreaking Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. Currently, Naomi spins vinyl in Chicago at the monthly Granny Dance.
