Bio

María Inés Roqué, is a documentary filmmaker whose directing credits include Dad Ivan, Cavallo Behind Bars, One more day, Villarias Coffee, and Zapatista Women. Since 1989, she has been part of the Mexican documentary scene, working in film production as well as directing her own films. She has been an associate producer and a script advisor for features from Spain, Australia, Costa Rica, Chile, and Holland. She started teaching in 1990 with a rural communication project organized by the United Nations (FAO).  From 2011 until 2022 she has been the director of Ambulante Beyond, a traveling film school and production company. She also took part in the impact campaings for Armed to the Teeth and What Happened to the Bees?, both feature documentaries.
