Bio

Maria Blas is a Peruvian aspiring Impact Producer. She is based in Paris, France and holds a Master in Social Policies and Social Innovation from Sciences Po Paris. Passionate by the emancipatory power of education, Maria has multiple international experiences as an Assistant Professor Of English, notably in Peru, Poland, France, Thailand, and Vietnam. Maria's curiosity for the world motivated her to go on a solo-backpacking trip across Europe and Southeast Asia in 2021-2022. Here, she was overtaken by the power of story telling, notably to denounce social inequalities and inspire people on the environmental transition. This grew her desire to educate people through a more artistic and deeply personal way. Maria thus became passionate about impact filmmaking, acknowledging the transformational power of documentaries and starting a new chapter of her professional career. Today, Maria works as a Content & Communication Strategist at Chaï Chaï, an established socio-cultural agency who is also emerging on the Parisian Impact Producing arena. Maria is excited to be a part of the GIPA community, and is open for discussions on any projects she could help with !
