Marcela Lizcano is a Colombian creative filmmaker and impact strategist. She runs Viceversa Cine, a creative production house focused on auteur-driven works and a variety of projects related to the arts, new media, culture and human rights, as well as ACTION, an non profit organization focused on strengthening the social impact of films in their encounter with audiences. She directed and produced her first feature-length documentary "Isolated", a film that participated in more than 30 festivals around the world, including the Warsaw Film Festival, DokLeipzig, BIFF, and won the Best Documentary Award at DocsDF, ColFilmNY and FICBAQ. She also directed "COLLAB VR", a virtual reality collaboration platform that was presented at Cannes NEXT 2018. With Viceversa, she produced the feature documentary Suspension by Simón Uribe, which premiered at IDFA 2019, and A Loss Of Something Ever Felt by Carlos Lesmes, which premiered at HOTDOCS 2020. She designed the impact campaign of Radio Savia, co-hosted by Maytik Avirama and Daniela Fontaine, a narrative podcast that presents different Latin American women activists, defenders of the territory and healers with stories of collective care, and is developing an impact campaign with Arhuacos filmmakers from the indigenous land of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Marcela also leads DOCCO LABS & ACCION, an initiative focused on strengthening social impact through audience design, impact campaign development and training for impact producers. The aim of ACCION is to create a wider network in Latin America and to be a bridge between agents of change and filmmakers with powerful films, inviting them to collaborate.
