Bio
Maggie Loredo (She/Her/Ella) Activist and Executive Director of Otros Dreams en Acción (ODA). She grew up in the United States undocumented and was forced to return to Mexico in 2008. Maggie contributed to the book Los Otros Dreamers (2014) and co-authored the introduction to the second edition Lxs Otrxs Dreamers (2021). She is the impact producer for “El Digno Retorno” documentary directed and produced by Jose Eduardo Aguiliar. Since 2013, she has organized participatory research processes on the experiences of people who have been deported and forced to return to Mexico, with whom she has created a community. Along with her community, she advocates for family reunification, mobility for all, and racial justice across borders through an intersectional, decolonial and narrative approach. She has participated in numerous academic spaces, international media and co-authored publications. In 2015, he co-founded Otros Dreams en Acción (ODA), a Mexican non-profit organization. She is also the co-creator of the Pochas So What podcast.
