Bio

Lucy worked with Jess Search as the IP for the second series of Doc Society’s Mothers of Invention podcast and spent 2018 as the Outreach Director for Good Pitch Europe. Prior to this, Lucy was the UK Impact Producer on the academy shortlisted documentary, Unrest. For the previous four years, Lucy worked at ITV where she co-developed the channel’s flagship fundraising appeal, Text Santa. She managed all charities involved with the appeal, liaised with editorial teams and assisted in production of appeal films shown across all ITV channels. She was influential in helping the initiative raise over £32 million for 26 UK and International charities. Prior to joining ITV, Lucy spent three years in advertising with J. Walter Thompson and The Red Brick Road. Lucy’s freelance roles have ranged from stand in actor to costume assistant to production assistant on the feature remake of Alfie. She also cast extras for films including The Da Vinci Code. After two subsequent years working for the BBC in the Press Office and events team, Lucy engaged her interest in charity work, travelling to Tanzania where she set up and raised funding for a charitable project called Mojakwamoja. This ran for six years, allowing children from Moshi town and a local orphanage to enjoy dance workshops and educational film screenings.
