Bio

Levy Ross (they/he) graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Anthropology in May 2023. Levy has a deep passion for the arts, visual anthropology and ethical documentary filmmaking. They received a national award for their first documentary film, "Worth Waking Up For," which follows the day in a life of a special education teacher in New York City. More recently, Levy facilitated an oral history project titled "Trans Art and Subjectivities," which explores trans young adulthood in through interviews, art, poetry. Levy acts as both a facilitator and participant in this project, and disrupts hierarchies through transparent & deeply collaborative storytelling. ​ Currently, Levy is a Brooklyn-based Impact Producer & Editor, dedicated to facilitating seamless storytelling and connecting people to resonant stories. He works in Engagement & Impact with American Documentary, overseeing impact campaigns for 15 feature films airing on the Academy Award winning series, POV. He also works as an assistant editor for Brick City TV – a small production company specializing in environmental documentaries. At Brick City, Levy is spearheading a 9-week social media impact campaign on Florida's toxic water crisis – urging Floridians to take action & get involved locally.
