Bio

Leena Minifie (Tsimshian/British) is an impact, film and television producer and digital strategist based in Vancouver, BC. Recent projects include the five-part series and feature film Bones of Crows (CBC, SRC, APTN), the four-part series and interactive digital timeline British Columbia - An Untold History (Knowledge Network), CBC’s Fifth Estate’s one-hour investigative documentary, The Reckoning: Secrets Unearthed by Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc, interactive audiovisual webart Sense of Home (Best New Media ImagineNative 2012), ?E?anx ‘The Cave’ (Sundance Festival 2011, TIFF Top Ten 2011). Impact and film marketing campaigns include Indian Horse, The Grizzlies, Monkey Beach, Night Raiders, Run Woman Run, Shadow of Dumont, The New Corporation: An Unfortunately Necessary Sequel, and Coextinction. Leena is a fellow of the BANFF Spark Accelerator for women in the business of media program, 2022 Netflix-BANFF Diversity of Voices Initiative, and the inaugural Bell Reelworld Producer’s Program for 2021-2023.
