Bio

Laurel is an award-winning filmmaker and impact producer passionate about communicating the climate crisis through film & TV. She directed and impact produced the award-winning short documentary Healing Lahaina, a deeply personal film covering her family's experience with the 2023 Lahaina wildfire, climate change, and community resilience. She co-produced, impact produced, and was featured in Gen Z Mental Health: Climate Stories, a short documentary that explores the mental health impacts of the climate crisis to young adults worldwide, and considers what resilience means when fighting for the right to a livable planet. 

She formerly worked on the impact campaign for I Am Greta, inspiring the audience to take action on climate change (won Best Impact Campaign at Jackson Wild). She also worked on the Hollywood Climate Summit and the Good Energy Playbook.

She was recognized in the Forbes list of 68 Climate Leaders Changing The Film and TV Industry. She is currently in the Harvard Executive Education Program, where she was awarded the Bacon Climate Leadership scholarship.
