Bio

Kristie Robinson is a British journalist whose work has centered on the intersection of social and environmental issues and campaigns and impact communications for the past decade. Kristie was based in Argentina for 12 years, where she founded and ran an English-language newspaper, and in 2009 she started working with local environmental and social justice NGOs, using her communication skills to support campaigns, festivals, and outreach events, including the 10:10 campaign, FestEco -Argentina’s first zero carbon festival-, and the International Human Rights Film Festival, FICDH. Since 2013 she has worked with documentary film teams on campaigns and communication, working as Outreach Director on Latin America’s first Good Pitch event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a role she repeated in 2015. She then continued to support further Good Pitch events in Miami, Colombia, and Vancouver, working with the outreach directors and film teams to build impact campaign strategy. In 2018, Kristie moved back to Europe and attended DocSociety’s European Impact Lab in the Netherlands the same year. She continued to liaise with filmmakers in Argentina, advising on campaign strategy, but took a break from impact production work to spend time with her young family until 2023, during which time she completed a University of Cambridge course 'Communicating for Impact and Influence'. Kristie reprised her work in the impact field in 2023, working mostly with projects that bridge Latin America and Europe consulting on impact strategy. She is a member of the European Women's Audiovisual Network, and has hosted talks and run workshops on impact production in English and Spanish. She is based in Girona, Spain.
