Bio

I am a freelance social impact producer, and associate impact producer with Doc Society. I have been working with documentary film-makers since 2016 and more recently, I have started working with socially engaged artists in all mediums to maximise the impact of their work. I am co-curator and impact producer for Films4Transparency (F4T) a festival featuring documentaries about corruption in all its manifestations and the social injustices caused by corruption. The F4T flagship event takes place within the biennial International Anti-Corruption Conference, the premier global gathering of anti-corruption agencies, campaigners, lawyers and journalists. In addition F4T partners with other festivals, most recently CPH DOX, bringing our specialist knowledge of films that deal with corruption. I have created impact campaigns on two full length documentaries – Even When I Fall, 2017 dir Sky Neal and Kate McLarnon, UK/Nepal tells the story of Nepal's first circus, set up by survivors of child trafficking into illegal Indian circuses; and A Thousand Girls Like Me, 2018 dir Sahra Mani, Afghanistan, which follows one woman’s fight for justice against her abusive father. In 2022, I worked for Doc Society on a pilot programme run by University of the Arts London (UAL), in the lead up to the launch of the UAL’s new AKA Storytelling Institute. My work comprised applying Doc Society’s Impact Field Guide Methodology to non-film based creative and artistic expression. I worked on The Walk, 2021 – featuring the 8,000k journey from Turkey to Manchester undertaken by Little Amal, a 3m puppet of a young Syrian refugee; Create4Glasgow an art and environment project for young people; UAL’s Climate Emergency Network event Appetite for Justice for Earth Day 2022; and the Royal Opera Company’s production of Rusalka by Dvorjak. I am currently creating content for the AKA Storytelling Institute to support the development of impact across socially engaged practice.
