Jon Reiss is a critically acclaimed filmmaker, author, and media strategist. His experience releasing his documentary feature, Bomb It, with a hybrid strategy was the inspiration for writing Think Outside the Box Office, the first step-by-step guide for filmmakers to distribute and market their films. He has given workshops and spoken at conferences and festivals throughout the world. Through his company 8 Above he worked with numerous filmmakers, companies and organizations that are looking to connect with audiences and distribute their work in the digital landscape. Clients have included Paramount Pictures, Screen Australia, Film Independent, Creative Scotland, The South Australian Film Corporation and numerous film schools and festivals. Film clients have included: Nasrin, Two Gods, Surviving Sex Trafficking, Inhabitants, Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, Sweetheart Dancers, Hooligan Sparrow, No Small Matter, Personhood, The Disrupted, Desolation Center, Psychadelia, Decade of Fire, Intelligent Lives, Tyrus.
