Bio

Coming from a background of international business and industrial engineering, Jessica Valdez is a co-founder of Red Leaves Films, a filmmaking company and a collective artistic platform approaching the intertwined struggles for social equity and environmental justice through filmmaking, reclaiming narratives and public programming. She has a feminist and anti-colonial perspective in her work. In Germany, she has been a community organizer in the immigrant rights movement, particularly in regards to access to education and freedom of movement.
