Bio

Filipe Machado is an executive producer, impact producer, and co-founder of Kana Filmes, a production company based in São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a degree in Film Studies and a postgraduate degree in Executive Production and Business Management. Since 2006, Filipe has been involved in the development and production of numerous films and series for TV channels, brands and NGOs. He has also produced several of his own works, including short films and a feature film. In 2022, he premiered his first feature film, the documentary "Môa, Mother Africa Roots," about Mestre Môa do Katendê. The documentary was screened at prestigious festivals such as In-Edit, Panorama Coisa de Cinema, and Festival du Cinéma Brésilien de Paris. In 2023, he launched his first impact campaign about the documentary "Môa, Mother Africa Roots" (Môa, Raiz Afro Mãe), which addresses issues of racism in Brazil and promotes antiracist education in schools and in Brazilian culture.
