Bio

Dan Edelstyn is an experienced film director and producer with multiple commissions for Channel 4 in the UK. He is also a musician releasing as The Orchestra of Cardboard. He's currently working on his third feature doc in collaboration with his partner Hilary. ‘How to Re-Establish A Vodka Empire’ was their first (currently on Netflix Europe) also expanded beyond the screen into social action and enterprise as they set up their own vodka brand ‘Zorokovich 1917’ in a bid to enliven the economy of the post perestroika village of Dan’s ancestors. The film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, had a theatrical release and 4 star reviews in Times, Irish Times and Empire. Bank Job (second feature) was funded by the BFI and Doc Society and nominated for Grierson for most entertaining doc - and their new film Power Station sees the couple trying to turn their London street into a renewable energy power plant!
