Bio

Carlos is a Screenwriter, Director, and Creative Producer based in Caracas, Venezuela, where he studied Graphic Design and Literature. He has directed and produced projects in multiple media such as editorial, street-art, and animation. His directorial debut was the documentary animated series Voices for Peace, Colombia (2017), a project created as an impact tool in the context of the peace negotiations between the Colombian Government and Farc-ep guerrilla. He produced the immersive experience CHAMBA (2018), a mobile exhibition that showcases experiences from the solidarity economy movement in a ludic and entertaining manner combining 360° documentaries, interaction and street art in transmedia storytelling. Currently, he is working on the production of the animated documentary series A Piece of Peace (Venezuela, Colombia & France), the animated short documentary Two Less (Chile & Venezuela), among other social impact projects. Alumni of Berlinale Talents (Germany, 2022), IsLab (Puerto Rico, 2020), Bridging the Gap (Spain, 2019) and winner of ApaLab Pitch competition (Argentina, 2019). Fellow of the artist residencies Koneen Saatio (Finland, 2022), Prohelvetia (Switzerland, 2022), Sacatar Institute (Brazil, 2021) and La Maison des Auteurs (France, 2022).
